Junk Memories

On a mission to find my long lost books, I ventured into the wilds of my garage and made a discovery that made my heart smile.  For a minute I didn't think I'd make it out as I'd found myself in a narrow crevice, feet splayed, and leaning over a very unstable mountain of boxes.  But what a simle treasure I did find in there...but more like a re-discovery.  After braving the tangles of the home jungle, I emerged, unsuccessful in my quest for books, but toting a throwback cd case.

The case was mostly filled with cd singles I had acquired over my lifetime like:

Heartbreaker by Mariah Cary

On & On by Erykah Badu

and even Wannabe by the Spice Girls

#don'tjudgeme!

But the BEST thing was that it was FULL of my old mixed cd's.  And while going through and listening to my mixes, I rediscovered this gem:  Latif - Don't Wanna Hurt You!

This dude was def a one hit wonder...but I used to jam to this track.  I wonder why he never came out with anything else...but regardless, I'll always love this track.  Now I have to make sure I have this in my music library.  I also listened to some songs I don't remember by people I could not tell you the names of.  Bt it was cool to go through those old tunes...and I'm still working my way through them.

In other news, my PD catheter surgery went great and I should be able to start training soon.  So no more waking up at the but crack of dawn to sit in a chair for three and a half hours.  Also, I went to transplant training class and have my appointments set up that I will need to be added to the list.  I'm hoping something comes through before that then.  Man of my family have volunteered to be tested to see if they can give me a kidney.  I love my fam!  This kidney failing stuff has kind of thrown me for a loop, but I'm trying to keep my spirits up about it and pray for the best outcome.  To help with that I think that I'm going to sporadiclly post some encouraging and successful transplant stories.  I think that will help me keep my focus on the bigger picture.
